Cleveland Cello Society

Masterclass and workshop sponsored by the Cleveland Cello Society. All students are welcome for the workshop at 3:00 featuring an exploration of extended techniques, creating new music, and special guest Anthony Cheung, who will speak about his piece Distance Over Speed. At 5:00 students from around NE Ohio will perform the complete collection of work from Cello Solos Today. Following this concert, students and families are invited to attend the Cleveland Orchestra concert at nearby Severance Hall, featuring a premiere of Anthony Cheung's new work for orchestra. For more info about fees and schedule, please go to www.clevelandcello.com

USF Cellists Perform Rainbow Bridge to Paradise

Prof. Scott Kluksdahl at University of South Florida has created a unique project for the spring semester, with each students studio in  learning and performing Augusta Read Thomas' Rainbow Bridge to Paradise. A study in interpretation and community learning, this is promises to be a rich experience for his students.

"New Music for Young Cellists" Premiere Event!

Hear the new works of Cello Solos Today performed for the FIRST time by intrepid young cellists from around New York City, including students of Yari Bond, Margalit Cantor, Alex Croxton, Nicole Johnson, Mary Robb, as well as curator Chris Gross and special guest Fred Sherry.
